Donald Trump ist wieder einmal emprt. Diesmal ber Kamala Harris und ihre Herkunft, ihre Hautfarbe und ihre Identifikation. Wie originell. Man knnte fast meinen, er habe einen neuen Trick aus dem alten Hut gezogen, aber nein, es ist die gleiche alte Show.
Trump behauptet, er habe nicht gewusst, dass Kamala Harris schwarz ist, bis sie pltzlich schwarz wurde. Welch bahnbrechende Entdeckung! Dass Harris immer schon eine schwarze Frau war, scheint in Trumps Weltanschauung irrelevant. Seine Worte implizieren, dass sie sich pltzlich als schwarze Frau ausgibt, um bei schwarzen Whlern zu punkten. Klingt bekannt Vielleicht, weil Trump selbst in der Vergangenheit jede Gelegenheit genutzt hat, um sich als den wahren Retter der vergessenen weien Arbeiterklasse darzustellen, selbst wenn seine milliardenschwere Herkunft und sein goldener Thron in Mar-a-Lago etwas anderes erzhlen.
Man fragt sich, ob Trump selbst pltzlich ein Interesse daran entwickelt hat, als wahrer Vertreter des einfachen Volkes wahrgenommen zu werden. Seine konstante Emprung ber die liberalen Eliten und seine Affinitt fr Verschwrungstheorien von Wahlbetrug bis hin zu scheint ja nichts anderes als ein verzweifelter Versuch zu sein, sich als einer von uns zu verkaufen. Also, Donald, bist du der Milliardr oder der Mann des Volkes Diese Frage ist genauso rhetorisch wie die, ob Harris nun indisch oder schwarz sei. Aber klar, Trump respektiert beides, aber irgendwie doch nicht. Ironie
Kamala Harris antwortet auf diese Attacken mit der Gelassenheit, die Trump so offensichtlich fehlt. Sie spricht von einer alten Show aus Spaltung und Respektlosigkeit. Und in der Tat, das amerikanische Volk verdient einen Anfhrer, der die Wahrheit sagt, der nicht sofort mit Feindseligkeit und Wut reagiert, wenn er mit Fakten konfrontiert wird. Man knnte meinen, das sei eine direkte Beschreibung Trumps. Jedes Mal, wenn jemand ihn zur Rede stellt, scheint sein natrlicher Reflex die Verunglimpfung und Herabsetzung zu sein. Vielleicht ein berbleibsel seiner Reality-TV-Tage
Interessant ist auch Trumps Vorwurf, Harris sei ein Chamleon, das seine Farben nach Bedarf wechselt. Ein Vorwurf von jemandem, der sich selbst je nach Publikum als frommer Christ, knallharter Geschftsmann oder echter Kumpel inszeniert. Ein bisschen wie die wechselnden Haarfarben seiner Ehefrauen heute blond, morgen brnett, je nachdem, was gerade passt.
Das Weie Haus hat es auf den Punkt gebracht: Niemand hat das Recht, jemandem vorzuschreiben, wie er sich identifiziert. Doch Trump, der selbsternannte Beschtzer der amerikanischen Identitt, scheint da anderer Meinung zu sein. Whrend er anderen die Authentizitt abspricht, bleibt seine eigene Identifikation als wahrer Amerikaner unantastbar. Natrlich, wer sonst knnte besser ber die wahre amerikanische Identitt wachen als ein Mann, der wie kein anderer von den Privilegien des Systems profitiert hat
Am Ende bleibt nur die Frage, ob Trumps Masche, die seit Jahren aus demselben Werkzeugkasten der Spaltung und Ressentiments bedient wird, immer noch verfngt. Das amerikanische Volk verdient wirklich einen Anfhrer, der ber Spaltung und billige Tricks hinausgeht. Und vielleicht, nur vielleicht, einen, der weniger an seiner Hautfarbe und mehr an seinen Handlungen gemessen wird. So wie Kamala Harris.
