I missili di precisione
Fino a oggi, non era stato rivelato fino a che punto negli ultimi cinque mesi si sia ridotto l'arsenale di missili di precisione terra-terra, che costano circa 1 milione di dollari ciascuno. Gli Atacms (Army Tactical Missile Systems) hanno svolto un ruolo chiave anche nella guerra in Ucraina permettendo alle forze di Kiev di attaccare obiettivi all'interno della Russia.
La nuova generazione di missili
I PrSM (Precision Strike Missiles) sono una generazione pi recente e avanzata di missili, destinati a sostituire gli Atacms che hanno una gittata pi breve. Le fonti non hanno voluto rivelare quanti pezzi restino nei magazzini del Pentagono, ma il timore che in caso di una nuova offensiva su vasta scala gli Usa dovrebbero fare affidamento sui caccia per bombardare in territorio iraniano, con missioni pi pericolose per i militari.
Le scorte Usa dislocate in altre aree
Secondo una quarta fonte, il Comando centrale che sovrintende alle operazioni in Medio Oriente riuscito a ripristinare le dotazioni dei missili terminati attingendo a scorte dislocate in altre aree. Ma questo significa che Washington potrebbe trovarsi in difficolt se si aprisse un nuovo fronte, per esempio in Asia.

According to a fourth source, the Central Command overseeing operations in the Middle East has been able to restore missile stocks by drawing on stocks located in other areas. But this means that Washington could find itself in difficulty if a new front opened up, for example in Asia.
