Im watching Joe Biden speak live on CNN. All I will say is that, as a black person, Im tired of elderly, geriatric, entitled white men. Let that have been Obama Im not voting for another white person, and I dont give a fuck what anyone has to say about it. I am so over this colonialist bullshit. I dont care about the age issue I care about the number of black people incarcerated while I watch white men break the law and get away with it. Yes, I am talking about Donald Trump, too. I will never vote for another white person in any election again. It really isnt that hard to say that both men are corrupt and both men need to go to prison.
I typically keep my mouth shut on these issues because my temper is bad, and it is really easy for me to escalate from online discourse. But Joe Biden is largely responsible for the laws in the 1980s that led to a higher incarnation of black men. An example of this is the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986. Biden co-sponsored implementing harsh penalties for drug offenses, including mandatory minimum sentences for possession of certain amounts of drugs. One key provision of this legislation was the creation of the sentencing disparity between crack cocaine and powder cocaine offenses. Lets also not forget The Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, too. So, how can the person who helped create this mess ever be trusted to solve that issue
Trusting Joe Biden to handle racial disparities is like trusting Donald Trump to deal with misogyny issues and sexual assault. It is just a bunch of racists, corrupt, entitled, colonizers.

US Supreme Court to decide if Donald Trump is eligible to run for president
By Jade Macmillan
America's top court weighs Donald Trump's presidential eligibility in a constitutional test legal experts describe as one of the most consequential cases the US has seen in decades. Here's what you need to know.
Justice Katanji Brown Jackson''s comments during today's disqualification hearing included "information" that is totally uninformed and ill-advised. This item, which I am posting here for the third time, completely contradicts what she said today: - that the Disqualification Clause only pertains to states and, thus, does not affect a president. This item quotes from original Senate discussions leading up to passage of the Fourteenth Amendment and its Disqualification Clause. Senate debate most clearly did include presidents and vice presidents.
DISQUALIFICATION CLAUSE AS IT RELATES TO PRESIDENTS AND VICE PRESIDENTS
How Donald Trump Disqualified Himself From Holding Office Ever Again
I am placing this here, belatedly, in hopes of making up for a goof I made in an earlier post. It reports on US Senate debate about what ultimately became Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
"This is to go into our Constitution and to stand to govern future insurrection as well as the present and I should like to have that point definitely understood," Van Winkle said at the time.
It's also worth noting that there was just a single reference in the Senate debate to the fact that the president and vice president were not explicitly mentioned in Howard's draft as "officer(s) of the United States," the way members of Congress and state officials had been itemized in the text. Would the disqualification clause of the amendment not cover the top posts in the executive branch
"Why did you omit to exclude them" asked Maryland Democratic Sen. Reverdy Johnson.
Maine's Lot Morrill jumped in to clarify.
"Let me call the Senator's attention to the words 'or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States,'" Morrill said, ending the discussion on that point.

It is being used to challenge Trump in some states from being on the ballot.

This seems really clear to me. It ought to be equally clear to the United States Supreme Court, unless justices "step up" to serve Donald Trump instead of the American people and the Constitution.

US Supreme Court sounds broadly sceptical of efforts to kick Trump off ballot over Capitol attack
The US Supreme Court's justices have appeared sceptical toward a judicial decision kicking Donald Trump off the ballot in Colorado for participating in an insurrection during the 2021 Capitol attack.

Again, very, very well put. My sense at the time was that Hillary Clinton was wanting her supporters to just hold on until after the election, and then she would be preparing to start governing. Except.....

According to a current Yahoo News headline, only one Supreme Court justice seems open to the idea of excluding Donald Trump from ballots.
Maybe the other eight justices can get a law student to read the Disqualification Clause to them.
How can violently stopping the certification of a presidential election and violently attempting to prevent the peaceful transfer of power NOT be an insurrection!
What justices are talking, then, is blocking states from keeping Trump off their ballots.

Tucker Carlson is a far right hack who masquerades as a journalist.
He lies as much as the 2 people he most admires: Putin & Trump. He's so bad that even Fox News dumped him.
His "interview" with Putin is expected to be a shambles.
Historically, Tucker is in putrid company.

The resulting proposed legislation would have been the most significant conservative win on policy in decades, and they still walked away from itall because doesnt want to claim a win in an election year.
